What We Believe (the short version)

God, as a loving Father, gave us rules to live by.  We broke His rules, and while God is pure love, His sense of justice is also pure.  A penalty had to be paid for breaking His laws.

In His love, God sent His Son Jesus to pay the penalty, so we wouldn't have to.  Jesus died on a cross, but He is the very essence of Life...  Death couldn't hold Him.  He came back to life and hundreds of witnesses saw Him alive from the dead!

Now, by believing in this (having faith in Jesus), we are brought back into a relationship with Father God. We have a hope and know that because He conquered death, we will conquer death through Him...  that we will one day be with Him forever in Heaven.  In the meantime, He sends His Spirit to comfort us.

Now we try to live the way He wants us to live.  Sure we mess up, but because of Jesus' sacrifice, God forgives us.  This is Great News!  We should shout it out... and tell the world... so we do!

Statement of Purpose (from Psalm 52:8-9)

We will praise God forever for what He has done; in His Name we will hope, for His name is good. We will praise Him in the presence of His saints. For we are God’s Olive Tree, flourishing in the house of God, and trusting in His unfailing love for ever and ever.
