The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad
The desert shall blossom like a rose
Rejoice and sing and shout for joy!
For they shall see the glory of the Lord!

Strengthen the weak hands, steady feeble knees
Say to those with a heart of fear and haste
Be strong! Fear not! Be not afraid!
With vengeance and recompense, the Lord comes to save!

A Highway of Holiness is here
Forbidden to the unclean,
Reserved for the redeemed
A Highway of Holiness is here
Simple wayfaring fools, our way we cannot lose
Cause we chose to walk in the Holy Way
Cause we chose to walk in the Way           

Blind eyes are opening, deaf ears are listening
Lame men are leaping, mute tongues are singing
Waters break forth in the wilderness,
The desert flows with streams
Burning sand has become a pool,
Thirsty land bubbles cool springs

And the ransomed of the Lord
Shall return to Zion with singing
And everlasting joy shall be
A crown upon their heads
They shall obtain joy and gladness
Sorrow and sighing shall flee away
